Who we are

Minimo (“the app”) is a macOS video compression app developed by Onur Yavuz (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the app handles your information. It applies to the Minimo Mac app distributed through the Apple Mac App Store.

Data we collect

None. Minimo has no analytics, no advertising, no accounts, and no tracking of any kind. In App Store terms, Minimo is labeled “Data Not Collected.”

• We do not collect personal information.
• We do not collect usage or diagnostic analytics.
• We do not use advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.
• We do not require an account or sign-in.

Your videos

All compression happens locally on your Mac using Apple’s built-in media frameworks and hardware encoders. Your source and compressed files:

• never leave your device;
• are never uploaded to a server (we don’t operate one);
• are accessed only through the files and folders you explicitly choose or drag into the app, using macOS security-scoped access.

Minimo saves the compressed file next to your original, or to a folder you pick. You remain in full control of these files at all times.

Network access

Minimo does not connect to any servers operated by us. The only network activity is handled by Apple’s systems on our behalf:

• Purchases & restore: the optional one-time Pro upgrade uses Apple’s StoreKit. Payment and receipt validation are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
• Notifications: local notifications (e.g. “compression finished”) are shown by macOS on your device and are not sent over the network.

Any information involved in a purchase is processed by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Data stored on your device

Minimo stores a few small preferences locally on your Mac (for example your default codec, your chosen output folder as a security-scoped bookmark, your daily free-usage count, and your recent-compressions list for the menu bar). This information stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Children

Minimo is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Because we collect no data, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
